GOSH Paediatric Endocrinology Symposium (G-PEG)

Causes and treatments of Hypoglycaemia in Neonates and Paediatrics. Why is it important? 

The learning objectives of this symposium are physiology of glucose metabolism, causes and complications of hypoglycaemia. There are interesting case presentations highlighting different causes of hypoglycaemia and its management. There will be oral presentations from well-known speakers in this field and will have interactive case discussions. This is aimed at trainees & Consultants in Paediatrics, Neonatology and Endocrinology, nurses, midwives and dietitians who are involved in the management of hypoglycaemia in Children.

There will be a break away session for nurses to learn the practical skills of completing a hyposcreen (Metabolic and Endocrine), medications used to treat Hyperinsulinism, learn from case studies plus managing patients at home.
