This course is for staff that perform venepuncture and cannulation. Before undertaking this course staff must ensure they are familiar with the provisions of the patient group directions, clinical practice committee guidelines and their trust policies on venepuncture and cannulation.
What you will learn;
Please note: This is a theory day only.
The course is aimed at people working in a clinical role where they will have the opportunity to practice this skill within a week of attending the session, and in a position to practice and be signed off as competent by the organisation where you are currently working within three months of the training.
There is no practical training on this day and you will need to be affiliated in an organisation to undertake the practical assessment
