Me first: The Fundamentals of Children and Young People Centred Communication
With six years experience in training professionals, Me first has condensed the fundamental principles of children and young people centred communication into a two hour online module. This is designed to support people working in health and social care build on their existing skills in communication, no matter their level of experience.
These Fundamentals go beyond basic skills. We focus on complex and interesting topics and encourage self reflection to enable each individual to work on their own skills. We achieve this through a mixture of theory and discussion based activities. Since 2020 our modules are currently taught over Zoom and we have all been pleasantly surprised by how well communication based activities have translated online.
A 15 minute break in the middle of the session to help optimise the learner experience.
This module provides a foundation that other modules combine well with to support ongoing learning at a time to suit each learner.
