Overview:
This course aims to prepare any paediatrics doctor preparing to step up or recently transitioned to the registrar rota. The fully immersive simulation experience is designed to explore both the technical and human factors required to deliver safe and effective patient care.
Learning outcomes:
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Competently manage a range of medical emergencies
- Safely manage your team and escalate as appropriate out-of-hours
- Communicate with parents in difficult scenarios
- Intubate a neonate
Who should apply: This course is aimed at resident doctors who have recently become or are soon-to-be registrars (likely ST3a-ST4).

Cost: £150 for GOSH staff, £300 for external candidates
