GOSH Virtual Paediatric Physiotherapy Foundation Course
The GOSH physiotherapy team are excited to announce the return of our 2-day virtual foundation course designed for physiotherapists who are new to paediatrics or have a special interest in this area. This course aims to provide a comprehensive overview of key clinical areas to build confidence, knowledge and skills to work in this incredibly rewarding field.
All AHPs and student physiotherapists are welcome.

- Introduction/Fundamentals of working with children - Paediatric airway clearance – From self-ventilating to mechanically ventilated - Respiratory physiotherapy management of the deteriorating child - Introduction to rheumatological conditions - Cerebral Palsy – Assessment and management - Orthopaedic normal variants - Overview of orthopaedic and spinal conditions and treatment | - Communicating with children - A quick guide for physiotherapists supporting children and young people with mental health difficulties - Infants and typical development - Neuro assessment - Rare diseases (Cancer and red flags) - Introduction to neuromuscular disorders - Pain |
The course is fully remote and due to run from 9am to 5pm on both days.

Early Bird Rate (ends 1st August 2026 at 23:00): £150
Standard Rate: £175
Student rate: £100 (Students must register with a university email account in order to access student rate)
