As the 1st European Paediatric Bioethics Conference, we aim to bring together a broad audience to foster multidisciplinary dialogue and research in a time where international collaboration has been more important than ever. Sharing local experiences during the pandemic is pivotal to identify lessons to be learned and areas for further research and improvement for future crisis.
Although children have not been the group most directly clinically affected by the pandemic, there is growing evidence on how control measures have and will affect their health and future life. As a leading Paediatric Centre in Europe caring for children from around the world, we take our responsibility in rising awareness of ethical issues that arise during and post pandemic crisis.
