Environmental Infection Prevention and Control Course June 2025

This course is designed as professional development for multi-disciplinary healthcare and healthcare associated staff to support understanding of how the environment may present a clinical risk to patients and staff, and options for control and intervention within this area.

The module content provides the learners with specialist environmental Infection Prevention and Control knowledge and skills. The module is run over 5 days and will be delivered face to face.

This module aims to:

  1. Facilitate learning and enhance knowledge of environmental Infection Prevention and Control processes to improve clinical practice, patient safety and implementation of screening and validation results
  2. Develop an understanding of how data analytics are used to review and inform management choices linked to environmental monitoring data, screening selection process, risk identification and audit.
  3. Develop an understanding of available monitoring and validation techniques in order to select appropriate methods to answer clinical and patient safety queries, including the advantages and limitations of available techniques

Booking includes all course material and catering during the week (lunch and breaks)

Due to the small cohort size cancellation or refunds will not be possible but places can be allocated to another named individual, as long as the request is made prior to Friday 16th May.

Registration details will be kept for follow up course content, evaluation documentation, and to distribute relevant content, such as study days, which may be of interest to attendees.  Removal of these details can be undertaken on request.
