NPE at NeoHeart: A Collaboration Between Great Ormond Street Hospital, NeoHeart, NeoCard-UK and the European Society for Paediatric Research (ESPR)

Join us in London for a bespoke Neonatologist Performed Echocardiography (NPE) introductory course as part of the NeoHeart Europe 2026 programme. Developed in collaboration with Great Ormond Street Hospital, NeoHeart, NeoCard-UK and the ESPR, this course will provide an introduction to NPE through both theoretical teaching and practical, hands-on training.

Hosted by Great Ormond Street Hospital, the Neonatal Heart Society, NeoCard-UK and the European Society for Paediatric Research (ESPR).

Learning objectives

  • To introduce Neonatologist Performed Echocardiography, both theoretically (lectures) and practically (hands-on).
  • To discuss the use of NPE for the assessment of several causes of neonatal haemodynamic failure.
