London IEI: A Continuum from Mechanism to Management

Course Director: Dr Reem Elfeky, Consultant in Paediatric Immunology, GOSH 

A two-day programme featuring leading experts from Europe and the US. The programme provides an opportunity to dive into evolving knowledge of novel inborn errors of immunity (IEI) including IKAROS, CARD11 defects, novel genes linked to HLH, actinopathies including DOCK 2, DOCK8 and DOCK11 defects, syndromic immunodeficiency beside re-visiting old IEI including XLT/WAS and CGD. There will be a session on hidden presentations of IEI , a session on genetic results interpretation in IEI. A special session on gene therapy updates besides a session on late effect after corrective procedure for IEI will be included. Programme is both lab and clinician friendly aiming for understanding disease pathophysiology, presenting cutting-edge treatments while engaging in dynamic discussion with peers.

Travel authorisation:
International colleagues who register to attend in-person are reminded that they need to have appropriate visitor authorisation in place (where needed) – i.e., Visa (https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa) or ETA: (https://www.gov.uk/eta). N.B. ETAs came into effect in 2025 and colleagues based in Europe, the US, Canada, Australia etc need to obtain one. It takes up to 3 days to receive approval.

Recording:
Please note that this event will be recorded (subject to speakers’ consent), with the recording shared with delegates for a short period (up to three months) post-event.

CPD:
RCPCH CPD approval is being applied for. Where approved, the basic unit of CPD activity is 1 hour of learning equals 1 CPD credit.
