Epilepsy, language and communication

This course is aimed at SLTs, SLTAs and SLT students working with children and young people with epilepsy. 

Speakers: Developmental Epilepsy Clinic 

Topic: 

We aim to provide an understanding of the impact of language and communication and key considerations for assessment, supporting and intervention planning for CYP with epilepsy. 

We will be exploring;

1/ What is epilepsy?

2/ The link between neurodevelopment and epilepsy

3/ The assessment and management of speech, language and communication needs
