GOSH Nephro-Urology Course

Course Directors: Professor Stephen Marks and Dr Louise Oni

The GOSH Nephro-urology course aims to increase your knowledge and understanding of paediatric nephrology using a range of symposiums and workshops. This three-day course (or two-day course for those attending online) consists of hybrid lectures on Thursday and Friday, and for those attending the conference in London, there will be additional face-to-face only workshops on Wednesday.

Course dates:

  • Wednesday 23 April 2025 -  Face-to-Face only workshops at Holiday Inn Bloomsbury
  • Thursday 24 April 2025 - Hybrid lectures at Zayed Centre for Research, for both online and face-to-face attendees
  • Friday 25 April 2025 - Hybrid lectures at Zayed Centre for Research, for both online and face-to-face attendees

Learning objectives: 

  • To increase your knowledge and understanding of Paediatric Nephrology using different symposiums and workshops
  • To increase knowledge on the management of complex Paediatric Nephrology conditions
  • To network and increase collaboration for improving patient experience, education and research

Who should attend?

The course is suitable for paediatric nephrologists, including those training and members of the multi-disciplinary team, paediatricians with an interest in nephrology and general paediatricians

  • AM: Neonatal and cystic kidney disease
  • AM: Hypertension workshop
  • PM: Research and mentoring workshop
  • PM: Metabolic diseases

Thursday 24 April 2025 - Lectures with voting

  • AM: C3 glomerulopathy
  • PM: Clinicopathological cases in renal transplantation

Friday 25 April 2025 - Lectures with voting

  • AM: Acute kidney injury
  • AM: Bladder and urinary tract infections
  • PM: Chronic kidney disease
