Healthcare Science Education 2024: Being Authentically You

Calling all Healthcare Scientists!


Join us on the 7th June for a meeting to discuss education within Healthcare Science:


Being Authentically You .......


This meeting will showcase current work and facilitate discussions about teaching across boundaries in education. It is aimed at Healthcare Scientists of all levels and from all disciplines, but would be especially useful for Lead Healthcare Scientists, managers, and those with an education input within their organisation. We also welcome non-Healthcare Scientists who are involved with the profession as part of their organisational role, such as Chief Executives, Medical Directors, Directors of Education, and Chief Nurses.


The day will support networking for both trainers and trainees and will consist of a mixture of lectures and workshop sessions that aim to increase attendees knowledge of:

- National Healthcare Scientist educational strategy

- Education theory

- Options for delivering education locally

Each attendee will have the opportunity to attend 2 workshops from those that are available - Workshops include:

  • Why registration provides authenticity
  • Creating an authentic Equivalence Portfolio  
  • Supporting trainees and colleagues: 'Enabling authenticity and supporting wellbeing'
  • Authentic Leadership – Why it pays to be me!


Please note that due to venue charges we have had to charge for this conference.  However we would not want anyone to be unable to attend due to cost restrictions and so we do have a limited number of bursaries available.  If you would like to apply for a bursary, please email hcs.education@gosh.nhs.uk for an application form.

Your contact details will never be shared) and to pass on an evaluation survey after the event. It will only be used by the GLA for this purpose and the data will be securely deleted in line with GOSH’s data retention policies. This privacy information does not apply to the processing of your personal data by the booking platform Participant UK Ltd., which will be governed by their privacy policy. Delegates are entitled to a full refund if they cancel their place more than 21 days before an event. All cancellation requests must be provided in writing to hcs.education@gosh.nhs.uk . Personal arrangements including travel, accommodation or hospitality relating to the event which have been arranged by you are at your own risk. The GLA shall not be liable for the cost of these arrangements if you cancel your place at an event or if the event is cancelled or postponed by the GLA.
