Looking to learn from leading voices in Children and Young People’s (CYP) nursing and enhance your knowledge and skills? Then sign up to attend the first National CYP Student Nurse Conference!

Taking place on Friday 8 March, this free online conference will provide the next generation of CYP nurses with a platform to share current national work and explore updates, innovations, and challenges within the specialism.

Alongside keynote talks from NHS England, the ACCN, Sophie’s Legacy and more, you’ll benefit from peer-to-peer learning and a wellbeing session designed to enrich and inspire.

Hosted by the Great Ormond Street Hospital Learning Academy (GLA). Supported by the Association of Chief Children’s Nurses (ACCN), Birmingham City University and NHS England

Learning Objectives:

  • To discuss current national work and its impact on practice
  • To enhance knowledge and skills relevant to CYP student nursing

Who should attend:

Undergraduate student nurses on a UK CYP nursing course and dual field nursing students.

Ticket options:

  • Zoom ticket (hub): If you are interested in streaming the conference to a seminar room within your Trust/Higher Education Institute (HEI), please register for one place, book a room at your venue, and invite your students to attend. Please note that your students do not need to book a place at the conference themselves. 

  • Zoom ticket (individual): If your Trust/HEI is not streaming the conference to a hub on the day (please check with your colleagues first before booking an individual ticket), or you wish to join the conference from home, you can book an individual ticket.

To cancel your free place, please email events.gla@gosh.nhs.uk. Please note that personal arrangements which have been made by you (i.e. if your Trust or HEI are providing hospitality for your hub) are at your own risk. The GLA shall not be liable for the cost of these arrangements if you cancel your place at an event or if the event is cancelled or postponed by the GLA.

The personal data you provide to us on the event booking form is being collected so that we can contact you with important updates about the event, ensure your accessibility requirements are accommodated, notify event partners or individuals shaping the event about the delegate list (only your name and job title/organisation will be shared. Your contact details will never be shared) and to pass on an evaluation survey after the event. It will only be used by the GLA for this purpose and the data will be securely deleted in line with GOSH’s data retention policies.
