GOSH Immunology Education Day

Primary immune deficiency/Inborn error of Immunity (PID/IEI) are a group of over than 450 rare, chronic conditions in which part of the body’s immune system is missing or does not function correctly. These conditions are caused by hereditary genetic defects and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or ethnicity. Early diagnosis and early intervention are mandated to improve survival and quality of life for patients with PID/IEI.

This 2-day educational program is meant for general paediatrics, paediatricians from different specialities, trainees, and doctors with interest in immunology. After this program, you will learn about different forms of PID/IEI ; how to suspect, tests needed and different available treatment options. You will gain more insight into different services available for this unique cohort of patients in Great Ormond Street Hospital. Our aim is to offer a supported channel to doctors and patients across the UK. Certificates will be provided afterwards. International colleagues are welcomed.
