Human Factors Engineering in Healthcare
This new virtual course examines how clinical human factors and the systems that healthcare practitioners work in impact upon performance, efficacy and patient safety.
We will explore systems approaches to healthcare quality and patient safety; how mental models contribute to decision-making; the role of non-verbal cues in team interactions; and the importance of 'cultural intelligence' for diverse teams.
